History

North American Electric, Inc. is a wholesale supplier of Special Purpose and General Purpose, AC electric motors.  We take pride in supplying high performance, high quality products at extremely competitive prices throughout the United States.  Donald E. Hackman, Sr. and David E. Hackman founded the company in October of 1993.  The company’s primary focus is sourcing quality electric motors from various manufacturers, both locally and internationally, and distributing them throughout the United States through local distributors and service centers.  Our nationwide distributor and service network offers strong local support for our products by providing critical logistical, technical and maintenance support as well as fast, friendly customer service.

When the company began in 1993 the product range consisted of Three Phase, TEFC, AC, General Purpose Motors from 1HP up to 150HP.  Now the product range includes Three Phase TEFC, AC General Purpose Motors from 1HP up to 500HP and Three Phase, General Purpose Explosion Proof Motors from 1HP up to 150HP.  In addition, our range now includes Special Purpose Motors such as Three Phase, TEFC NEMA Design D, Oil Well Pump Motors and Three Phase, TEFC, NEMA Design C Motors designed specifically for crusher applications.  We have further improved our product offering by sourcing products only from quality factories that manufacture products to meet the toughest industry standards and offer certifications such as UL, CSA and ISO9001.  North American Electric, Inc. is now also a large wholesale distributor for US Electrical Motors, which is sourced here in the United States.

Future plans include increasing our product range to include General Purpose, Three Phase, ODP, AC motors and General Purpose, Single Phase, TEFC and ODP, AC Motors.  Our plans also include Special Purpose motors such as Closed Coupled Pump Motors, Farm Duty Motors and Stainless Steel Motors.

Our management team is constantly working to raise customer satisfaction to greater levels through improved logistical, technical and maintenance support.  We are constantly working to improve our information technology to enable our customer service staff, as well as, our distributors and service centers to provide critical logistical, technical and maintenance information in a timely manner.  We will continue our efforts in the future to better serve our customers.
